Viduthalai Viswanathan, a spirited athlete born on September 22, 2003, in Tanjore, Tamil Nadu, embodies the essence of perseverance and passion. Growing up in a family where his father works in Kuwait and his mother, Meena, runs her own business, Viduthalai found his inspiration in the lively kabaddi matches happening right in his neighborhood. At just 15, he decided to dive into the sport that captured his heart. Currently residing in Madurai while pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Viduthalai skillfully juggles his studies and intense training at the Southern Sports Academy. Under the mentorship of coach Alex Pandian, he has evolved into an impressive Right Cover Defender, celebrated for his remarkable dash skills. Viduthalai looks up to Rakesh Kumar, whose incredible jumping ability motivates him to enhance his own game. A significant milestone in his journey came when he participated in the Yuva Kabaddi Series Summer Edition 2023 with the Palani Tuskers. This experience fueled his ambitions even further. With dreams of serving his nation by joining the Indian Army, Viduthalai hopes to intertwine his love for kabaddi with a life dedicated to service, proving that dedication and passion can lead to a fulfilling path.
