Ajay Kumar, born on July 20, 2005, in Hindadih Village in Chhattisgarh, is a young kabaddi talent with a story that embodies hard work and determination. Growing up in a family of farmers, with his father Leelaram toiling in the fields and his mother Shiv Kumari managing the home, he learned the value of dedication early on. Though Ajay has two elder brothers, Vijay and Sanjay, and a sister, Sanju, none share his enthusiasm for kabaddi, making his journey even more unique. Ajay discovered his love for kabaddi at 16 when Coach Hemant Yadav spotted his potential during school games. This sparked his journey at the Veer Shivaji Kabaddi Club in Bilaspur, where he honed his skills as a Left Raider. One of his standout moments was representing Chhattisgarh at the Junior National Championship in Hyderabad in 2023, where his performance caught many eyes. His aspiration to wear the national jersey fuels his training, and he dreams of representing India on the international stage. Off the mat, Ajay enjoys cheering for his favorite player, Pardeep Narwal, and catching a cricket match. With his family’s support and determination, the future looks bright for this passionate kabaddi player.
