Harish R

Harish R, born on June 7, 2004, in the charming town of Gauribidanur, Chikkabellapura, has always held a special dream close to his heart—bringing pride to his village through kabaddi. Growing up in a modest household, with his father Ranganath working as a driver and his mother Lakshmamma employed in a hotel, he drew inspiration from their resilience and dedication. Harish's journey into the world of kabaddi began when he was just nine years old. With the ambition to turn the spotlight on his hometown, he started training under the watchful eye of his coach, Subhash, at Mysore Vidya Vikas College. It wasn't long before he discovered his strength as a Left Cover Defender, particularly honing his exceptional blocking skills. Influenced by Jeeva Kumar, a fellow cover defender, Harish aspires to emulate the kind of player he admires. Currently, he is in his first year of a Bachelor of Commerce program at Mysore University. Harish remains focused on his dream of securing a government job while further enhancing his kabaddi abilities. Each practice session is a step towards achieving his goals, fueled by the encouragement of his coach and his unstoppable spirit.
