Vaibhav Satappa Rabade, born on April 9, 2004, in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, is an aspiring kabaddi player representing the Kolhapur team in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. Currently residing in Radhanagri Kolhapur, Madhya Pradesh, Vaibhav hails from a farming family. His father, Satappa Rabade, and mother, Ujwala Rabade, are both farmers. He has an elder brother who does not play kabaddi. Vaibhav's journey in kabaddi commenced during his school days at the age of 13, where he displayed his talent as an all-rounder player. His preferred position on the kabaddi mat is the left center position, where he demonstrates versatility in both raiding and defending. One of his standout skills is his proficiency in scoring bonus points, showcasing his strategic acumen and agility on the field. Under the guidance of his coach, Sangram Patil, Vaibhav refines his skills at the Shivmudra club. He draws inspiration from Sunil Kumar, particularly admiring his center play on the kabaddi court. Apart from kabaddi, Vaibhav also enjoys playing cricket and actively participates in other sports activities. He is pursuing his college graduation degree in the field of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.). Vaibhav's career highlights include his participation in various tournaments, including the District and State-level championships in 2017 and 2018 respectively. He also represented his state in the Khelo India National Championships in 2022 and 2023. Despite facing defeat in the national finals, Vaibhav's performance was commendable, and he aims to continue improving his game to play in the Pro Kabaddi League in the future.
