Omkar Yenpure

Omkar Yenpure, born on August 27, 2001, in Prabhadevi, Mumbai, is a dedicated kabaddi player representing Mumbai Shahar in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. Despite being born into a family where his father Vithal Yenpure works in a private job and his mother Pramila Yenpure manages the household, Omkar has pursued his passion for kabaddi with fervor and determination. Starting his kabaddi journey at the age of 10, Omkar quickly found his place in the sport, particularly excelling as a Right Corner Defender. Under the guidance of his coach, Vijay Divekar, at the Vijay Club in Dadar, Omkar has honed his skills, with his best attribute being his proficiency in executing the Running Chain technique. Inspired by the playing style of his favorite player, Nilesh Shinde, who also operates in the right corner position, Omkar admires his skills and seeks to emulate his success on the kabaddi mat. In addition to kabaddi, Omkar also enjoys playing cricket, showcasing his versatility in sports. Despite not having notable career highlights yet, Omkar aspires to play in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) and make a name for himself on the professional kabaddi stage. With his unwavering dedication and commitment to the sport, Omkar Vithal Yenpure is poised to carve out a successful career in kabaddi and fulfill his dreams of competing at the highest level in the sport.
