Raj Ravindra Acharya, born on March 11, 2002, originates from Lower Parel, Mumbai, Maharashtra, where he currently resides. His father, Ravindra Raghunath Acharya, serves as a supervisor at Samna Press, while his mother, Sadhana Ravindra Acharya, manages their household. Raj has an elder brother named Rakesh Acharya, though neither he nor his siblings share his passion for kabaddi. As an All-Rounder, he excels in various positions, particularly favoring the roles of Left Raider and both corners. His standout skills include executing precise ankle holds and dynamic jumps, making him a formidable presence on the kabaddi court. Under the guidance of coach Bajirao Hodage at Lion Sports Club, Lower Parel, Raj refines his techniques and strategies. He draws inspiration from kabaddi icon Bajirao Hodage, both admiring his exceptional skills and aspiring to embody his charismatic personality. In his burgeoning kabaddi career, Raj has already made notable strides, representing his district in 2023 and 2024. One of his career highlights includes an impressive performance in his first senior category match against Shiv Shakti Sports Club, where he represented Jai Bharat Sports Club and secured 10-12 raid points. Beyond kabaddi, Raj enjoys playing cricket and is pursuing a college graduation degree in BCom, currently in his third year. With aspirations of securing a government job in the future, Raj remains dedicated to his kabaddi journey, fueled by a relentless drive for success and a commitment to excellence.
