Shreyas Shinde

Born on October 16, 2002, in Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, Shreyas Ajay Shinde is a promising Kabaddi player representing Ratnagiri District in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. His father, Ajay Shinde, who holds a private job, and his mother, Neha Shinde, a dedicated homemaker, form the backbone of his support system. Shreyas's Kabaddi journey began in the 4th or 5th standard, inspired by his father's legacy in the sport. Ajay Shinde, his father and first coach, instilled a love for Kabaddi in him. With a versatile playing style as an All Rounder, Shreyas excels in positions such as Left corner and right raider, showcasing his proficiency in bonus points and chain tackles. Under the mentorship of coaches Parikshit Shinde and Swapnil Shinde, Shreyas hones his skills at Daspatti Club in Chiplun, Ratnagiri. Admiring the raiding skills and composure of Indian Kabaddi legend Anup Kumar, Shreyas aspires to emulate his idol's performance on the mat. In addition to Kabaddi, Shreyas has a passion for cricket, having represented the state of Maharashtra in 2016 and played for several years. Currently pursuing a BCom degree in his final year, Shreyas's career highlights include an outstanding performance in the State match of 2022 held in Pune, where Ratnagiri emerged victorious by 8 points, with both individual and team performances receiving acclaim. With aspirations to build a career in sports and don the Indian jersey, Shreyas remains steadfast in his commitment to excel in Kabaddi and make his mark on the national stage.
