Amarsingh Kashyap, born on August 5, 2003, originally hails from Jaspurabanda, Uttar Pradesh, but currently resides in Pawarwadi, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. Born into a humble family, with his father Shivbali Kashyap engaged in labor work and his mother Gyan Devi working as a maid, Amarsingh found his passion for kabaddi at the age of 8 while attending school. Despite the challenges, he pursued his interest in the sport, driven by his natural talent and enthusiasm. Versatile in his gameplay, Amarsingh shines as an All-Rounder, demonstrating prowess both in raiding and defense. His raiding skills include the finesse of Hand Touch and Toe Touch, while in defense, he excels in executing the Thigh Hold technique. Recognizing his potential, coach Bhushan Kulkarni spotted Amarsingh's talent during a village match, paving the way for his journey in kabaddi. Training diligently at the New Hind Vijay Club in Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Amarsingh draws inspiration from kabaddi legend Pawan Sehrawat, admiring his overall playing style. His dedication to the sport has yielded significant achievements, including winning the Best Defender award in the Sub Junior Nationals in 2016 and securing gold at prestigious events like the Sub Junior Nationals in 2016 and the Khelo India Youth Games in 2021 held in Panchkula. Beyond kabaddi, Amarsingh enjoys playing cricket and maintains a focus on his education, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Arts. With aspirations to secure a government job, particularly in the railway sector, Amarsingh Kashyap remains steadfast in his pursuit of excellence both on and off the kabaddi mat, aiming to make a mark in the sporting arena while securing a stable future for himself and his family.
