Rakesh Pandurang Patil, born on May 18, 2005, in Dhule, Maharashtra, hails from a humble background rooted in agricultural traditions. Growing up in Dhule alongside his three elder sisters, Rakesh discovered his passion for kabaddi during his school days, igniting a journey marked by determination and perseverance. At the age of 13, Rakesh took his first steps onto the kabaddi mat, showcasing a natural aptitude for the sport. As a right cover defender, Rakesh's prowess lies in his dynamic and assertive playing style, epitomized by his signature move, the "Dash." Under the guidance of coach Jitu Thakre at the Rajmudra Club's Village Ground, Rakesh refines his skills, drawing inspiration from seasoned players like Mayur Kadam, particularly admiring his mastery in executing swift and decisive dashes on the field. Despite his commitment to kabaddi, Rakesh remains dedicated to his education, pursuing his studies up to the 12th standard in the science stream.
