Jayesh Patil

Jayesh Ravindra Patil, born on June 10, 2001, in Dhule, Maharashtra, currently resides in Nashik, Maharashtra. His father, Ravindra Patil, works diligently as a laborer, while his mother, Sunita Ravindra Patil, manages the household affairs. Jayesh shares a close bond with his younger sister, Diya Ravindra Patil, who does not play kabaddi but supports him wholeheartedly in his endeavors. Jayesh embarked on his kabaddi journey during his college years, igniting his passion for the sport at the age of 18. Despite starting relatively late, his innate talent and dedication have enabled him to excel as an all-rounder, proficient in both the left corner and left raider positions. His expertise lies in executing precise toe touches, making him a formidable presence on the kabaddi mat. Under the guidance of coach Avej Shaikh at Rudra Sports Club, Jayesh has honed his skills, with a particular emphasis on perfecting the art of the toe touch. He draws inspiration from kabaddi player Akash Shinde, admiring his adeptness in executing toe touches during raids. Jayesh has represented his state with distinction, earning accolades such as participation in the Junior State in 2020 and the Senior State in 2022. His achievements include being awarded the Best Defender prize in the under 19 district matches, a testament to his defensive prowess and contribution to the team. Outside of kabaddi, Jayesh is pursuing his college education, currently enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor of Commerce program. Despite his commitment to kabaddi, he also enjoys playing cricket and actively participates in other sports. With aspirations to compete in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Jayesh harbors dreams of showcasing his talent on a national stage. His journey epitomizes the spirit of perseverance and determination, highlighting his potential to excel in the highly competitive realm of professional kabaddi.
