Tejas Dadasaheb Raut, born on November 12, 2003, hails from Nandgaon Nashik, Maharashtra, and currently resides in Ahmednagar Shrirampur. Coming from a farming background, his father, Dadasaheb Raut, toils in the fields, while his mother, Baisaheb Dadasaheb Raut, takes care of their home. Tejas has an elder brother. Tejas discovered his love for kabaddi during his school days, commencing his journey in the sport at the age of 13. A versatile player, he excels as both a Right Raider and Left Cover Defender, showcasing his agility and tactical prowess on the mat. His standout skill lies in executing Bonus moves, making him a formidable opponent on the kabaddi court. Under the mentorship of multiple coaches, including Ganesh Raut, Ravi Gade, Jayveer Sharma, and Bajrang Pardeshi, Tejas refines his techniques at the Bhairavnath Krida Mandal in Ahmednagar. He draws inspiration from the legendary kabaddi player Anup Kumar, particularly admiring Kumar's expertise in Bonus moves. Tejas has left his mark in various tournaments, representing his district and school at the national level. Notably, he showcased his talent at the School National in 2019 in Madhya Pradesh and the Khelo India tournament in Pune the same year. In 2023, he participated in both the Junior and Senior State Championships. He has also played in Mahindra & Mahindra Professional Club. Tejas's career highlights include earning the title of Best Player of the Day during an Industrial match. Beyond kabaddi, Tejas enjoys cricket as his favorite sport. Currently pursuing his second year of Bachelor of Arts, Tejas aspires to play in the prestigious Pro Kabaddi League, aiming to make a name for himself on the professional kabaddi circuit.
