Pranav Laxman Mane, born on June 4, 2002, in Kolhapur, embodies the essence of rural grit and sporting talent. Growing up amidst the lush sugarcane fields of Walwa, Sangli, Pranav's introduction to kabaddi came at the age of 10, a passion ignited by playful bouts with friends in his village. Born into a family of farmers, with Laxman and Sunita tending to the sugarcane fields, Pranav imbibed the values of hard work and perseverance from an early age. Primarily assuming the role of a Left Corner Defender, Pranav's game is characterized by his mastery of the Ankle Hold technique, a skill he admires in his favorite player, Surender Nada. Under the guidance of coach Prakash Metakri at the Arun Bhaiya Naykavadi Club, Pranav honed his craft, emerging as a formidable force in the kabaddi arena. Despite his dedication to kabaddi, Pranav remains grounded in his roots, assisting his family in farming activities when not on the kabaddi court. Pranav's journey in kabaddi has been punctuated by notable achievements, including representing Sangli in the District tournaments and showcasing his defensive prowess in the KMP YKS 2023 tournament, where he secured an impressive 50 points and earned the fourth position on the list of best defenders.
