Sanket Khalate, born on November 17, 2005, hails from Shikari, Maharashtra. Coming from a farming family, Sanket was introduced to the game of kabaddi at the age of 10, inspired by the elders playing in his village. Known for his prowess as a Right Corner Defender, Sanket excels in executing the Double Thigh Hold technique with precision on the kabaddi mat. Under the guidance of Coach Mukesh Jadhav at Trimurti Academy in Newasa, Sanket has honed his skills and emerged as a promising talent in the sport. Despite not having siblings who play kabaddi, Sanket's dedication to the game and admiration for kabaddi legend Shrikant Jadhav drive his passion to excel further. Having represented his state in the Junior State Championship of 2022, Sanket's career highlights include a remarkable performance where he scored 8 crucial tackle points against Thane in the Junior National tournament of 2022, leading his team to victory. With aspirations to represent India and compete in the prestigious Pro Kabaddi League, Sanket is pursuing his college education alongside his kabaddi journey, aiming for excellence both on and off the mat.
