S.Sathish Kannan

In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing Vels University is Sathish Kannan, born on April 13, 2001, in Allur, Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Currently residing in Allur, Trichy, Sathish comes from a farming background, with his father, P Suriyamoorthy, and mother, Mala, engaged in farming. He has two elder brothers, Suresh Kumar and Santosh Kanan, both of whom also play Kabaddi. Sathish began his Kabaddi journey at the age of 10, specializing as a Right Raider. His exceptional skills include hand touches and bonus points. He receives coaching from Ramakrishnan, his SVV School Coach and now he practices at Vels University. His favorite Kabaddi player is Allu Prabha, whom he regards as his role model, a well-known player in his village. Apart from Kabaddi, Sathish enjoys playing volleyball. He is currently pursuing his Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) and is in his final year of study. Sathish's career highlights include participation in the Senior National Kabaddi Championship and playing in the Pro Kabaddi league Season 10 for Tamil Thalaivas. His future aspiration is to secure a job through Kabaddi, leveraging his skills and experience in the sport.
