Born on October 13, 2001, in the colorful city of Pondicherry, V Mohan Dass's journey into the world of kabaddi started when he was just 14. Surrounded by friends who were all buzzing with excitement about the sport, he quickly found himself drawn to the mat, eager to join the fun. It was during these spirited school games that he stepped into the role of a Right Raider, guided by his coach, Perumal, whose mentorship helped sharpen his skills. Family plays a vital role in Mohan's life. He has an elder sister, Soundarya, and an elder brother, Vignesh, who have always encouraged him to chase his dreams. His father, Vishwamohan, runs a hotel, while his mother, Sasikala, is a supportive housewife, creating a nurturing environment that has fueled his passion for kabaddi. Mohan has proudly represented Pondicherry in various competitions, including the Junior Nationals in 2023 and the Senior Nationals in 2024. Although he didn't walk away with any medals, these experiences only intensified his determination. Inspired by his favorite player, Naveen Kumar, he aspires to play in the Pro Kabaddi League and one day represent a services team. With a focus on improving his favorite skills like hand touch and bonus, Mohan is excited for the future and hopes to make a name for himself in kabaddi.
