B Vijay

B Vijay, born on June 23, 2001, hails from Anakaputhur, Chennai, where he currently resides. His father, K Babu, works as a daily wage laborer, while his mother, B Jamuna, is a homemaker. He has a younger sister named Kavya, who does not play kabaddi. Vijay began playing kabaddi at the age of 13, specializing as a Left Raider. His best skill is executing center kicks with precision. He receives guidance from Coach Kumar, a senior player at the AFC Anakai Club in Chennai, where Vijay practices regularly. He admires Aslam Inamdar for his bonus skills and speed. Vijay's favorite kabaddi skill is rotating and escaping from opponents. Besides kabaddi, he enjoys playing cricket as another sport. Vijay has participated in various tournaments, including the Junior Nationals in 2021, where he represented the Tamil Nadu team and secured third place. He also represented Tamil Nadu in the Sub Junior Nationals in 2017 and played for Bharatiyar University in the South Zone University tournament in 2023. Additionally, he represented Chengalpatti District in the Senior State tournaments of 2022 and 2023. Currently pursuing his first year of M.Com, Vijay aspires to play in the Pro Kabaddi League and secure a job in the Indian Railways.
