Currently residing in Thanjavur, Ajith's father, Muruganandam, works as a farmer, while his mother, Renuka, is a homemaker. He has an elder sister named Satya, who does not play Kabaddi. Ajith embarked on his Kabaddi journey at the age of 13, specializing as a Left Corner Defender. Renowned for his skillful back hold technique, Ajith hones his abilities under the guidance of Coach Puvi at Chennai Vels University, with practice sessions held at SAI, Salem. He particularly admires Surendar Nada for his exceptional ankle hold prowess. Throughout his career, Ajith has participated in various prestigious tournaments, including the All India Inter-University in Mangalore, where he secured a silver medal in 2023. Additionally, he clinched a bronze medal at the Khelo India University Games in Uttar Pradesh the same year and participated in the games held in Assam. Currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Ajith has completed a one-year diploma in Yoga alongside his academic pursuits.
