Marimuthu Kamaraj

K Mari Muthu, born on March 28, 2003, hails from Tanjore, Tamil Nadu, where he currently resides. His father, G Kamaraj, is engaged in wheat farming, while his mother, Jayachitra, is a homemaker. Mari Muthu has an elder brother named Jaykanth, who also plays kabaddi and has represented South Zone Inter University. Mari Muthu's kabaddi journey commenced at the tender age of 6, nurtured in Vadur, a place known for producing notable kabaddi talents, with 5 players who have represented India and participated in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). Specializing as a Left Cover Defender, Mari Muthu excels in techniques like Dash, Thigh hold, and blocking. Under the guidance of Coach Sekar at SRM University, Mari Muthu undergoes rigorous training to hone his skills. His favorite kabaddi player is Rahul Choudhary, whom he admires for his hard work, dedication, and respectful attitude towards everyone. Mari Muthu has showcased his talent in various prestigious tournaments including Sub Junior Nationals, Junior Nationals, Khelo India, SGFI, All India University, and PKL. Apart from kabaddi, he enjoys watching and playing cricket. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Mari Muthu aims to secure a career in the railway sector to continue his passion for kabaddi. His long-term aspiration is to contribute significantly to the sport and achieve success at the highest level. Described as having a clear goal to play kabaddi for the long term, Mari Muthu is determined to make his mark in the field of kabaddi while pursuing his career aspirations.
