Ajay Kumar was born on October 21, 2006, in the stunning state of Uttarakhand, and his story is one of passion and perseverance. Growing up in a modest farming family, his parents, the late Shamsher Singh and Ajmera Devi, have been his rock, especially as he navigates life with his two younger siblings, Vijay and Anjali. Inspired by the local kabaddi players he watched during his childhood, Ajay ventured into the sport at the age of 16, eager to follow in their footsteps. Under the guidance of Coach Dilbagh at the Uttarakhand Stadium, Ajay has honed his skills, with his signature move being the hand touch. His dedication truly shone through when he proudly secured a bronze medal at the 48th Junior Nationals held in Chandigarh—a milestone that he cherishes and recalls with immense pride. He admires Pawan Sehrawat for his all-around gameplay, aspiring to emulate his success and versatility on the mat. Balancing his training with academics, Ajay is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree. His dream is to compete in the Pro Kabaddi League, and he is determined to showcase his talents to bring pride to his family and his home state of Uttarakhand.
