Ankit Jat, a young and passionate kabaddi player, was born on January 27, 2003, in Alwar, Rajasthan. Growing up in a close-knit family, he is the son of Hari Ram, a dedicated farmer, and Soma Devi, a homemaker. With an elder brother and a younger sister, Ankit has always valued the support of his family. Ankit's journey into the world of kabaddi began at the age of 16. Inspired by the Pro Kabaddi League that he watched on television, he developed a fascination for the sport. Under the guidance of his coach, Ravinder Kumar, at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Alwar, he honed his skills, particularly excelling as a Right Corner Defender with a particular knack for the Thigh Hold technique, his favorite skill. His determination has taken him to various competitions. In 2024, he proudly represented Kota University in the All India University Games, where his team secured a bronze medal. Ankit has also competed at the national level, earning a silver medal at the SGFI Nationals in 2019 and participating in state tournaments. Looking ahead, Ankit dreams of playing in the Pro Kabaddi League and representing India on the international stage. He also hopes to secure a stable job, ideally with the Indian Railways, as he balances his studies in his Second Year Bachelor of Arts program. With a strong support system and a clear vision, Ankit is poised to make his mark in the kabaddi world.
