Pranay Sanjay Wankhade, born on February 6, 2001, in Amravati, Maharashtra, has always had a passion for kabaddi. Growing up in a close-knit family where his father, Sanjay Vithalrao Wankhede, worked as a mechanic and his mother, Smita, is a homemaker, Pranay found inspiration early on. His father’s love for the game sparked Pranay's journey when he began playing at the age of thirteen. Training under the guidance of Coach Bhupendra Singh Thakur at the Samarth Krida Mandal Academy in Amravati, Pranay has honed his skills to become a formidable Left Corner Defender. His signature move, the ankle hold, reflects his dedication to mastering the art of kabaddi. One of the proudest moments of his young career was leading his state team to victory in the last five minutes of a pivotal match. With dreams of playing in the Pro Kabaddi League, Pranay is not just focused on personal success but is motivated by the legacy of his favorite player, Anup Kumar. Currently, he is in his Third Year of Bachelor of Arts studies and enjoys playing cricket in his leisure time. As he continues to train and strive, Pranay is determined to leave his mark on the kabaddi world.
