Naveen Sharma's story began in the quaint village of Naulta in Panipat, Haryana. Born on September 20, 2002, he grew up surrounded by the love and support of his family, being the youngest among his brothers, Sanjay and Ajay. While Sanjay had his unique interests, it was Ajay's enthusiasm for kabaddi that sparked Naveen's passion for the sport. Inspired by local players, he took his first steps into the kabaddi arena at just twelve years old. Naveen trained diligently under Coach Mukesh Jaglan, quickly finding his niche as a Right Corner Defender. His standout skill? The Chain Tackle, which he executes with finesse. His hard work bore fruit in 2022 when he made his mark in the Yuva Kabaddi Series Summer Edition while playing for the Periyar Panthers, earning the Best Defender award. This accomplishment not only boosted his confidence but also solidified his commitment to kabaddi. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in his Second Year, Naveen strikes a delicate balance between academics and his kabaddi passion. With dreams of competing in the Asian Games, he draws inspiration from his mother, Saraswati Devi, and his father, Dharamvir, as well as his favorite player, Sonu Jaglan. Naveen is excited for what lies ahead and is determined to make his mark in the kabaddi world.
