Gowtham Murugan

In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing PRIST University, we have M Gowtham. He was born on October 11, 2002, in Kadalur, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides there. Gowtham's father, Murugan S, is late, and his mother, Vijaya M, works as a homemaker. He has two elder sisters named Priya and Ashwini, with Ashwini being the sibling who plays kabaddi. Gowtham started playing kabaddi at the age of 7 and specializes as a right cover defender. His best skill on the mat is the dash. He is coached by Balamurugan and Bharani, with Balamurugan working in a private company and Bharani working in Tamil Nadu EB. Gowtham practices at the UC Chavadi. His favorite kabaddi player is Rakesh Kumar from the Pro Kabaddi League, admired for his excellent execution of the jump skill. Gowtham has represented Chola Veerans in the YKS Winter Edition of 2022 and 2023, as well as in the YKS Summer and Monsoon Editions of 2023. He also represented Tamil Nadu in the Senior Nationals of 2024. Apart from kabaddi, Gowtham enjoys playing football and actively participates in other sports as well. He is currently pursuing a college graduation degree in BA History, in his second year. One of his career highlights includes playing in an injured state during the Inter SAI tournament, motivated by his team. Gowtham aspires to play for the Indian Kabaddi Team, aiming to make his name famous in the sport. Additionally, he aims to secure a job in the Railways in the future.
