Growing up in a supportive household, where his father Bansilal is in the electronics business and his mother Anuradha is a homemaker, Anil discovered his love for kabaddi at the age of 17. Watching local school players ignited his passion, and from that moment, he was determined to make his mark in the sport. With the encouragement of his coach, Ram Kumar, who recognized his potential, Anil joined the Udhampur Kabaddi Club. His natural talent for the running hand touch quickly stood out, leading to remarkable performances in various tournaments.
