Raman Singh Baghel, hailing from the serene Goraiya Village in the Satna District of Madhya Pradesh, has carved an inspiring path to becoming a talented kabaddi player. Born on December 7, 2001, Raman moved to Rewa with his family in 2008, a decision driven by their focus on education and sports. With his father Arun Singh working as a farmer and part-time employee at the Nagar Palika, and his mother Rekha managing the home, Raman's upbringing was rooted in hard work and support. His elder siblings, Aman and Rashi, played essential roles in shaping his values, helping their parents while pursuing their own aspirations. Raman’s passion for kabaddi ignited at the age of 18, encouraged by friends who played the game. Under the mentorship of Coach Mahesh Pratap Singh, he refined his skills at the Rewa Zila ground, where he developed into a formidable right corner defender. Along the way, he took pride in mastering chain tackles, a skill that reflects his strategic thinking and agility. His commitment paid off when he represented Madhya Pradesh at the Junior Nationals in Suryapeth in 2021, marking a significant milestone in his athletic career. With a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education in hand, Raman aspires to join the Pro Kabaddi League, inspired by renowned players like Pawan Sehrawat. Determined to blend his education with his love for sports, Raman dreams of leaving his mark on the kabaddi world while continuing to inspire others in his community.
