Meet Laxman Papanna Gawda, a promising kabaddi player from Phonda Taluka, Goa. Born on June 8, 2002, Laxman's journey into the world of kabaddi began in the fifth standard, thanks to his school teacher, Vishwas Prabhudesai. His natural height caught the coach's eye, leading him to embrace the sport wholeheartedly. Laxman currently resides in Madkai Village, practicing diligently with the Madkai Raiders club, where he hones his skills in an open ground with a mat set up by his mentor. His athletic prowess comes to life as an all-rounder, excelling as a Left Raider and Right Cover Defender. Laxman's favorite skills include the Bonus, Dubki, and Surprise Tackle. Inspired by legends like Anup Kumar and Pawan Sehrawat, he admires their tactical brilliance and calm demeanor. Laxman's journey has been dotted with significant achievements, including captaining the Goa team in the Junior Nationals in 2019, where they clinched a bronze medal—Goa's first-ever national honor. As he pursues his Master's Degree after completing his Bachelor's in Political Science, Laxman dreams of making it to the Pro Kabaddi League. His aspiration?
