S Sasikumar

In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing PRIST University, we have Sasikumar. He was born on January 10, 2001, in Mettupatti, Trichy, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides in the same place. Sasikumar's father, Selvakumar, works as a farmer cultivating sugarcane, while his mother, Mahalakshmi, is a homemaker. He has an elder brother named Vignesh, who also plays kabaddi casually but not as seriously as Sasikumar. Sasikumar started playing kabaddi at the age of 14, inspired by his father who used to play the sport. He specializes as a Left Corner Defender, with his best skill being the solo tackle. His coach, Baskar, plays a crucial role in motivating and ensuring discipline among the players, including waking them up for training sessions. His favorite player is Fazel Atrachali, known for his exceptional backhold and ankle hold techniques as a left corner defender. Sasikumar has represented in Senior State level competitions. His favorite skill is perfecting the ankle hold, and he diligently trains for it regularly. Outside of kabaddi, Sasikumar enjoys cricket and athletics, particularly running. He has completed his education up to the 10th standard and is currently a student. His career highlight is participating in the YKS tournament, which he considers significant. His aspirations include representing Tamil Nadu in kabaddi and playing in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). Sasikumar is dedicated to giving his all to kabaddi as he believes it's his strength, especially considering his academic performance.
