Nidhi Sharma

Born on May 2, 1997, in the serene town of Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, Nidhi Sharma has emerged as a formidable force in the world of kabaddi. Currently, she proudly represents the Aravalli Arrows in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024. While her roots lie in Himachal Pradesh, Nidhi currently resides in Jaipur, Rajasthan, dedicating her efforts to the Rajasthan Police. Nidhi's journey into the kabaddi arena commenced at the age of 16, showcasing her passion and commitment to the sport. As a Right Raider, her skill set is highlighted by the artful execution of Bonus points, adding a strategic edge to her team's gameplay. Under the mentorship of coach Sanjeev Thakur, Nidhi refines her techniques at Gurunanak Public School in Himachal Pradesh. The proud daughter of Jaidev, a farmer, and Sharmila, a homemaker, Nidhi comes from a close-knit family with one elder sister, one younger sister, and one younger brother. Despite kabaddi not being a family affair, Nidhi has embraced the sport with zeal and determination. Nidhi's list of representations spans across various levels, including school, college, district, state, nationals, and international competitions. Her crowning achievement includes participation in the prestigious Asian Games of 2023, marking a significant milestone in her kabaddi journey. Beyond kabaddi, Nidhi finds solace and interest in playing volleyball, showcasing her versatile sporting spirit. Pursuing a Masters's degree in English, she balances her academic pursuits with her passion for kabaddi.
