Born on November 25, 2003, in Balua Bazaar, Matayari, Bihar, this young kabaddi enthusiast has already made impressive strides in the sport. Growing up in a modest family, where his father, Anil Kumar Gurumaiti, works in farming and his mother, Meena Devi, is a devoted housewife, he often found inspiration at home. With a younger brother, Astik, who is into athletics instead of kabaddi, sports have always been a shared interest in their household. Starting his kabaddi journey at the age of 17, he quickly discovered his passion for the sport, particularly excelling as a Left Corner Defender. His favorite move, the Ankle Hold, demonstrates his skill and strategic thinking on the mat. Under the mentorship of coach Mohammad Anayat, he trains regularly in Supaul, pushing himself to hone his talents. Though he has faced tough competition, including participating in the Junior National Championship where he secured 5th place, each experience has fueled his determination. Currently pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, he dreams of representing India one day. His admiration for players like Naveen Kumar, not just for their skills but their demeanor, drives him. With a heart full of aspirations and the will to succeed, he is keen to make his mark in kabaddi.
