Mukesh Kannan, born on March 23, 2005, in Ombalur, Salem, Tamil Nadu, currently resides in Chinnappampatti, Salem. His father, Sakthivel, is involved in the construction business, while his mother, Sudha, is a homemaker. Mukesh has an elder brother named Vishnu Priyan, who doesn't play kabaddi. Mukesh's kabaddi journey began at the age of 13, inspired by the popularity of the sport in his village. He specializes as a Left Raider, with his best skill being the Hand Touch. Under the guidance of his coach, Elavarasan from the Samy Academy, Mukesh practices in the village school ground. Naveen Kumar Goyat is Mukesh's favorite kabaddi player, admired for his speed and impressive skills. Mukesh has represented his team in various tournaments, including the YKS Winter'22 and YKS Summer'23 for Palani Tuskers, Junior State Meet in Mayaladudurai, Senior State Meet in Chengalpettu, and multiple Junior Nationals and Federation Nationals. He also emerged as the winner in the Sub-Junior State competition. Currently pursuing his second year of B.Sc Computer Science, Mukesh aspires to play for Team India and secure a government job in the future. His career highlight so far has been participating in the Junior Nationals, marking a significant milestone in his kabaddi journey.
