Ashish

Meet Ashish, a spirited kabaddi player from the vibrant town of Jheend in Haryana. Born on October 10, 2001, he was raised in a close-knit farming family, with his father Balwan Singh working hard in the fields and his mother Sushil managing the home. Ashish shares a special bond with his younger sister, Khushi, who is yet to explore the exciting world of kabaddi. Ashish's journey into kabaddi kicked off when he was just 17, inspired by the electrifying matches played by local villagers. Mesmerized by their skill and enthusiasm, he decided to step onto the mat himself, choosing the role of a Right Cover Defender. Under the expert guidance of Coach Rampal at the Arjun Stadium in Jeend, he quickly developed his skills, particularly falling in love with the dash technique. Now in his first year pursuing a Master’s Degree, Ashish recently celebrated a proud achievement by securing a gold medal at the All India University competition for JJTU in 2024. With a clear vision for the future, he dreams of donning the Indian jersey, inspired by his favorite player, Surjeet Singh. When he's not on the mat, you might find Ashish enjoying a game of football, eagerly looking ahead to the many adventures that his kabaddi journey will bring.
