Anil Tyagi is a vibrant soul from Delhi, embodying the spirit of kabaddi with every step he takes on the mat. Born on November 20, 2000, he hails from a family where kabaddi is not just a sport but a way of life. With his father, Balak Ram, striving in government service, and his mother, Deepika, managing the home, Anil finds support and inspiration at every turn. Though his elder sister, Saakshi, doesn’t share the same sporting passion, Anil proudly carries the mantle of an athlete in his family. Starting his kabaddi journey at the young age of 14, Anil honed his skills under the guidance of Joginder Singh at Lakhoati Academy in Bullenshah, Uttar Pradesh. He plays as a Right Raider, showcasing his flair for the electrifying running hand touch. Inspired by players like Rahul Choudhary and Sanjiv Balyan, Anil strives to emulate their spirit and courage in his own game. Throughout his journey, Anil has competed in significant events like the Khelo India University games and the Junior Nationals, even clinching a mobile phone and a TV in a memorable tournament in Agra. Looking forward, Anil dreams of dazzling audiences in Pro Kabaddi, eager to leave his mark on the sport he loves.
