Abhishek Dhull

Abhishek was born on January 16, 2005, in the lively town of Kaithal, Haryana, where his love for sports blossomed early on. Coming from a family that values hard work, with his father Naresh Kumar working as a farmer and his mother Gayatri managing the household, Abhishek learned the value of dedication from a young age. He shares his home with his elder sister Tannu, who cheers him on but doesn’t share his passion for kabaddi. His kabaddi journey took off at the age of 14, sparked by the excitement he felt while watching thrilling matches. Today, he plays as a Right Corner Defender for the Murthal Magnets and is especially known for his fantastic thigh hold skill. Under the guidance of Coach Dilbagh Singh at the Pai School, Abhishek has developed a strong foundation in the sport. As he gears up to represent Haryana in the Junior State Championship in 2024, he has already made a name for himself by winning cash prizes in various local tournaments. Inspired by his favorite player, Ashu Malik, who also hails from his village, Abhishek has big dreams of making it to the Pro Kabaddi League. Balancing his studies in a Bachelor of Science undergraduate course while pursuing his kabaddi aspirations, Abhishek is on a determined path to make his mark in the kabaddi world.
