Jai Hind, born on September 26, 2006, in Bicholim, Goa, has always had a strong spirit and passion for kabaddi. Growing up in a close-knit family, his father, Bijender, serves as an inspector in the Goa Police, while his homemaker mother, Poonam, has instilled in him the values of dedication and hard work. With an older brother named Sonu, Jai's support system has shaped his journey and aspirations. His kabaddi journey began in Haryana when he was just 14 years old. Inspired by watching the older local players, he started playing with friends in an open ground. It was there that he caught the attention of coach Sunil, who saw something special in Jai and took him under his wing back in 2018. As an all-rounder, he shines in various roles, from being a right cover defender to a left raider, but he particularly loves executing the thigh hold technique. Jai recently represented Team Goa in the Junior Nationals 2024, where he proudly earned a bronze medal. His heart beats for kabaddi, and he dreams of representing India on an international stage someday. For Jai, nothing is more important than this aspiration, fueling his relentless drive to improve and shine in the sport he loves.
