Aditya Wankhade

Aditya Kisanrao Wankhade, a passionate 18-year-old from Achalpur in Maharashtra, has rapidly made a name for himself in the world of kabaddi. Growing up in a family with humble roots, Aditya’s father, Kisanrao, works as a farmer, while his mother, Sushma, is a dedicated social worker. With an older brother, Prajwal, who doesn’t play kabaddi, Aditya took a different path in sports, ignited by the sight of college students engaging in this captivating game. He began his kabaddi journey at the age of 16, quickly discovering his love for the sport. Aditya plays as a Right Cover Defender and is particularly known for his powerful thigh hold, which he admires in his favorite player, Manjeet Chhillar. Under the mentorship of coach Vicky Dada Deshmukh at the Shree Hanuman Krida Mandal, he honed his skills, including his favorite technique, the chain tackle. Aditya's proudest moment came when he represented his state at the state level in 2022. As he continues his education in the Third Year Bachelor of Science program, his dreams extend beyond sports; Aditya aspires for a stable government job in the future. With his grit and determination, there’s no telling how far he will go in kabaddi and life.
