Rudrapratapsingh Thakur

Rudrapratapsingh Jitendra Thakur, born on September 11, 2004, in Amrawati, Maharashtra, is a promising young talent in the kabaddi arena. Growing up in a supportive family, with his father Jitendra running a business and his mother Payal managing the household, he has always had a nurturing environment to explore his passions. With an elder sister, Vedahi, who doesn’t play kabaddi, Rudra stands out as the sports enthusiast in the family. He first discovered kabaddi at the age of 12 after being inspired by the electrifying matches of the Pro Kabaddi League. This sparked a fire within him, leading him to train hard at the SKM Club under the guidance of coach Bhupendra Thakur. Serving as both a left raider and a left corner defender, Rudra has honed his skills, particularly enjoying the toe touch and running hand touch techniques. His determination to excel is evident as he recently participated in the Junior National tournament in February 2024, marking his entry into competitive kabaddi. Currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Business Administration, Rudra dreams of becoming one of the best players in the sport. With ambitions sky-high and a love for football as well, there’s no doubt that this young athlete has a bright future ahead.
