Somesh Vijayrao Ajabale, born on October 11, 2000, in the charming town of Papal, Maharashtra, has always been drawn to the thrill of kabaddi. Growing up in a humble farming family led by his father, Vijayrao, and a caring mother, Sangeeta, Somesh found his passion when he first stepped onto the mat at the age of 13, inspired by the excitement of local tournaments. With the guidance of his coach, Sachin Dabde, Somesh honed his skills at the Sai Sports Academy in Morshi. Over the years, he has become a formidable Right Corner Defender, mastering techniques like the double thigh hold and the chain cover. His favorite kabaddi player is Aslam Inamdar, whose bold maneuvers and attitude greatly influence him on the mat. Among Somesh’s proudest moments was a recent state-level match, where he made a game-changing play, capturing the raider in a tense final raid to secure victory for his team. Beyond kabaddi, he enjoys cricket and is focused on completing his college graduation in the First Year of Master of Arts. Looking ahead, Somesh dreams of a stable future with aspirations of landing a government job in the police force.
