Abhishek Omkarrao Pawar, born on August 10, 2003, in Amrawati, Maharashtra, is a promising young kabaddi player with dreams as big as his spirit. Growing up in a humble farming family, he’s inspired by his parents, Omkar and Kantabai Pawar, who instilled values of hard work and dedication in him. He has two elder siblings, Akash and Rupali, who have always supported him in his journey, despite not sharing his kabaddi passion. Abhishek embarked on his kabaddi journey at the age of 12, playing at school and realizing this sport could be his ticket to a brighter future. He currently plays as an all-rounder for the Tadoba Tigers in Vidarbha, showcasing his skills as a right raider and left cover defender. His favorite move is the hand touch, a testament to his speed—something he admires in his role model, Aslam Inamdar. With the guidance of his coach, Suyog Gorle, Abhishek has made a mark in state-level competitions, delivering outstanding performances even when things didn’t go as planned for his team. As he juggles his undergraduate studies in Second Year Bachelor of Science, his aspirations to represent India in kabaddi and play in the Pro Kabaddi League keep his determination alive. He’s not just playing a sport; he’s crafting a future.
