Born on January 15, 2006, in the vibrant locality of Basgi, Jharkhand, this young kabaddi player has already made waves in the sport. Currently residing in Koderma, where he moved to pursue his studies and enhance his kabaddi skills, family holds a special place in his heart. His father, Harihar Thakur, is a businessman, while his mother, Aarti Devi, is a dedicated homemaker. He cherishes moments with his younger brother, Ganesh, even though his sibling hasn’t taken to kabaddi like he has. Discovering kabaddi at the age of 14 in school ignited a passion within him. Under the guidance of his coach, Sunil Kumar Saw, he honed his skills at the JJ College ground in Jhumritaliya. As a Left Corner Defender, he’s particularly known for his back hold and ankle hold techniques, with a special fondness for chain tackles. His achievements are commendable for his age, including a notable participation in the Junior Nationals in 2023 and the upcoming Khelo India East Zone University games in 2024. He dreams of taking his talents to a national level, aspiring to wear the Indian jersey someday. Inspired by his favorite player, Aslam Inamdar, he aims to emulate his speed and bonus skills, all while balancing his studies in his B.A. First Year.
