Subham Kumar, born on December 14, 2006, in Sunder Nagar, Koderma, is a young and vibrant kabaddi player hailing from the heart of Jharkhand. Growing up in a close-knit family, with his father Krishna Singh working in a private job and his mother Sarita Devi being a dedicated housewife, Subham has always been encouraged to follow his passion. He shares a strong bond with his elder siblings, Aditya and Priyanka, who have inspired him in his journey, even if they haven’t pursued kabaddi themselves. At the age of 14, Subham was captivated by the action and excitement of professional kabaddi. That was the moment he decided to step onto the mat and become a player himself. Now excelling as a Left Cover Defender for the Ranchi Rangers, he trains diligently at the JJ College ground in Koderma under the guidance of coach Sunil Kumar. Known for his formidable single thigh hold and chain tackles, Subham admires Siddharth Desai, a player whose power and skills have heavily influenced his own style. Currently pursuing his Bachelor’s in Philosophy, he balances his studies with his passion for sports, including volleyball and cricket. With dreams of playing in the Pro Kabaddi League, Subham is eager to make his mark and bring glory to Jharkhand.
