Meet Niroj Kumar Sethi, a vibrant 19-year-old kabaddi star from Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Born on September 5, 2004, he discovered his love for kabaddi during his regular runs, where he couldn't help but be captivated by the energy of children playing the game. This spark ignited a passion that transformed him into a skilled Left-Right Raider, particularly known for his exceptional Bonus skill. Niroj's journey in kabaddi has been guided by his dedicated coaches, Ramesh Patayat and Panchanand Pradhan, at their academy in Bhubaneswar. With their support, he has made his mark in several competitions, proudly securing third place in the District Championships. His impressive performance also led him to represent Odisha in the 49th Junior National Championship in Telangana. At home, Niroj finds strength and inspiration from his family, especially from his father, Madhav Charan Sethi, who runs a fast-food business, and his mother, Namita Sethi, a homemaker. He shares a close bond with his elder brother, Manoj, who is currently pursuing his studies. Niroj looks up to kabaddi legend Rahul Choudhary and dreams of one day playing in the Pro Kabaddi League. Currently in his first year of an undergraduate program in Bachelor of Arts, Niroj is determined to balance academics and sports, as he chases his dreams on the kabaddi mat.
