Aakash Nainiwal was born on July 19, 2000, in Indore City, Madhya Pradesh, into a nurturing family that sparked his passion for sports. With his father Raju Lal working as a mason and his mother Santosh Bai dedicated to home, Aakash grew up surrounded by support and inspiration. Among his siblings, he finds encouragement from his elder brother Abhishek, who helps their father, sister Varsha, an accountant for the railway, and his younger brother Krishna, a budding kabaddi player himself. Aakash’s love for kabaddi ignited at just eight years old, watching local matches that were full of energy right outside his home. He dove into the sport, taking on the roles of both a right corner defender and a raider. Under the skilled guidance of Coach Ghanshyam Choudhary, he honed his craft, especially mastering the chain tackle—his favorite skill on the court. Throughout his journey, Aakash has proudly represented Madhya Pradesh in various national tournaments, securing the Eklavya Award in 2018 for his outstanding performance. Currently serving in the Army through the sports quota, his dreams extend to competing in the Pro Kabaddi League, where he hopes to make his mark and showcase his abilities on a grand stage. His dedication to kabaddi and his aspirations ensure that he is making strides towards a promising future.
