Vivek Thakur, born on September 13, 2003, in Himachal Pradesh, has always found his heart in the world of kabaddi. Growing up in a family where his father, Parmjeet Thakur, runs a transport business, and his mother, Reenadevi, manages the home, Vivek comes from a supportive background that nurtured his passion. With a younger sister, Sakshi, by his side, their bond adds extra motivation to Vivek’s journey. At the age of 18, Vivek was inspired to start playing kabaddi by watching matches on television and the encouragement of his uncle. He currently plays as a Right Raider for the Himalayan Tahrs, and anyone who sees him play will recognize his exceptional skill in the Running Hand Touch. His favorite player, Ajit Thakur, further fuels his ambition to excel in the sport. Vivek's journey took a remarkable turn during the Junior Beach Championships in 2023. Despite getting injured mid-match, he bravely continued to play, ultimately finishing as the high scorer in the finals. This resilience showcases his dedication, which is only matched by his aspirations to make it to the professional kabaddi scene.
