Rohit Negi, a spirited young player born on July 10, 2004, in Sheri, Dehradun District, Uttarakhand, has a promising future in kabaddi. Currently residing in Vikasnagar for the past five years, he was inspired to pick up the sport at the age of 14 by his elder brother, Brendar Negi, who also played kabaddi. Rohit has quickly made a name for himself as a skilled Left Raider, known especially for his swift running hand touch, which is his favorite move. Training under the watchful eye of Coach Bharat at the Devbhoomi Academy has honed Rohit’s abilities, making him a fierce competitor. His hard work has already paid off, with impressive achievements that include gold medals at both the State Championship and an All India tournament. Beyond kabaddi, Rohit is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree in his final year, balancing academics and sports. He admires Indian kabaddi player Naveen Kumar Goyat for his skills and speed, which inspire him to improve his own game.
