Nitesh Sahu, a talented young kabaddi player hailing from the scenic village of Imlibhata in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, was born on October 18, 2005. Growing up in a close-knit family, he draws inspiration from his hardworking father, Vijay, a mason, and his supportive mother, Nirmalabhai, a housewife. Nitesh also has an elder brother, Prashant, who has been a steady source of encouragement in his journey. Nitesh’s fascination with kabaddi ignited at the tender age of ten when he watched the Pro Kabaddi League. Captivated by the thrilling tackles, he first admired players like Manjeet Chhillar, whose skills motivated him to dive deeper into the sport. He began training at the Veer Shivaji Kabaddi Club in Bilaspur under the guidance of coach Hemant Yadav, honing his skills, especially his favorite techniques – the ankle hold and thigh hold. In 2023, Nitesh proudly represented Chhattisgarh at the Junior National level. He showcased his talent in the Chhattisgarh Premier League with the Bhilai Steelers, helping them secure third place. Aspiring to become a policeman someday, he is driven by the courage and determination he sees in police officers. With a dream and relentless passion, Nitesh is on a steady rise in the kabaddi world while balancing his education up to the tenth standard.
