Ravi Kumar Sahu, born on December 3, 2002, in the quaint village of Pirith, Balod, is a rising star in the world of kabaddi. Growing up in a loving family, with a father working in farming and a dedicated homemaker for a mother, he has always been encouraged to chase his dreams. The youngest of four siblings, Ravi’s bond with his elder brother and sisters has been a source of support throughout his journey. Ravi's love for kabaddi ignited when he was just ten years old, inspired by friends at school who recognized his talent. He soon found his place on the mat, specializing as a Left Cover Defender. Under the guidance of his childhood coach, Mallesh Sahu, Ravi honed his skills, particularly excelling in chain tackles, a skill he considers his favorite. With his current residence in Balod, he trains at the Veer Shivaji Kabaddi Club in Bilaspur. Competing in tournaments has been a thrill for him; he proudly recalls reaching the finals in the Maharashtra Bhajepar Tournament, where his team triumphed. Aspiring to make a mark in YKS and eventually the Pro Kabaddi League in the next couple of years, Ravi dreams big, motivated by his idol, Maninder Singh.
