Vignesh Babu

Vignesh. B, born on December 30, 2003, in the beautiful region of Pondicherry, has always had a passion for kabaddi. Growing up in a family where sports were celebrated, he found inspiration in his elder brother, Vinoth Kumar, who carved a niche for himself in professional kabaddi. Vignesh took his first steps into the kabaddi world at just ten years old, mesmerized by his brother's games and determination. Under the guidance of his coach Pramod Kumar at SAI Pondicherry, Vignesh has honed his skills as an all-rounder. He plays with flair, showcasing his strengths as a left corner defender and right raider. With skills like bonus and dash playmaking, he’s known for his energetic jumps on the mat. His hard work led him to participate in various tournaments, including the Junior Nationals in 2023 and the Senior Nationals in 2024, where his journey was just beginning. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in his third year, Vignesh balances his studies with his commitment to kabaddi. His dream is to play in the Pro Kabaddi League, where he hopes to make his family proud and continue the legacy started by his brother. With a bright future ahead, Vignesh embodies the spirit of determination and love for the game.
