Rajiv, born on July 7, 2003, in the lively town of Churu, Rajasthan, has a deep-seated love for kabaddi that blossomed from a young age. Growing up in a family that faced tough times, including the loss of his parents, Rajiv found solace in his passion for the sport. He lives with his elder brother, Sushil, who stands by him, supporting his dreams every step of the way. His kabaddi journey began at just 13 years old, inspired by the remarkable skills of players like Manjeet Chillar—who plays in the same position he aspires to master as a right cover defender. Under the encouraging eye of his coach, Surender, Rajiv practiced tirelessly at the local Churu Stadium. There, he particularly excelled at the Thigh Hold, a skill he’s come to cherish. In 2022, Rajiv celebrated a significant achievement by clinching a Gold Medal at the Junior State Championships, a moment that fueled his ambitions further. His participation in the Yuva Kabaddi Series Summer Edition with the Aravalli Arrows was another stepping stone, reinforcing his dedication. As he pursues a Bachelor’s degree, Rajiv dreams of donning the colors of India and representing his beloved Rajasthan. With an unwavering spirit and heart for kabaddi, he’s ready to embrace the challenges that lie ahead.
