In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing Vels University is Santosh S, born on January 2, 2002, in Tiruvotiyur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Currently residing in Tiruvotiyur, Chennai, Santosh's father, Srinivasan S, works as a Turner, while his mother, Vimala S, is a housewife. He has one elder sister named Poornima, who does not play Kabaddi. Santosh's journey in Kabaddi began during his 8th standard when he participated in selection trials at his school and got selected, marking the inception of his Kabaddi journey. He has since then excelled as an All-Rounder, demonstrating his skills as both a Right Raider and Right Corner player. His signature move is the Chain Hold, which he executes with finesse. Under the guidance of his coach, Sambandhan, at Jolly Friends Club in Chennai, Santosh refines his skills and hones his talent. While Santosh has represented his school, SRM University in All India University matches, as well as his district and state teams, his career highlight came in 2024 when he participated in the All India State Tournament. His team, RGS Club, secured the 2nd place, marking their first victory in an All India Tournament. Beyond Kabaddi, Santosh has a passion for Badminton and actively engages in other sports. Currently pursuing his M.COM degree, Santosh aspires to secure a job in prestigious organizations like ICF or Income Tax. Santosh's dedication to Kabaddi, coupled with his academic pursuits and career aspirations, reflects his ambition to excel both on and off the mat.
