Anshu Kumar, born on June 3, 2003, in the picturesque Sutiyarpada village of Jharkhand, has journeyed into the world of kabaddi with a heart full of passion. Growing up in a humble farming family, with his father Sanjeet Kumar Singh working the fields and his supportive mother Mirdu Devi managing the household, Anshu learned the value of hard work and determination at a young age. He also has an elder sister, Anisha Singh, who inspires him with her own pursuits but doesn't play kabaddi. Anshu stepped onto the kabaddi mat for the first time at 19, while still in school. It was love at first touch, particularly for the skills of toe touch and dubki, which would soon define his play as a left raider. Under the guidance of his coach Sanju at the district level, he honed his craft in Bhagalpur, dedicating time each day to practice at the local park. His hard work paid off when he represented Jharkhand in the Senior National tournaments in 2022 and 2024. Anshu dreams big, with aspirations to join the Pro Kabaddi League and proudly represent India on the global stage. With his sights set on the future, this spirited player is ready to make waves in the kabaddi world.
